Magnets!

Recently, a scientist from High Touch, High Tech came to visit our class and share with us about magnets and magnetism.  The boys and girls enjoyed rotating to various stations to explore and learn all about magnets and their properties.  We had a great time!

American Symbols!

This week we have been researching American symbols as a part of our Social Studies unit!  Yesterday we went to the library to practice researching with the I-touches using QR codes.  The boys and girls had a great time using technology to learn about our nation's symbols.  Thank you for making our learning so fun, Mrs. Littlejohn!  Stay tuned for photos of our finished American symbols booklets...

Happy Fall!

Can you believe how quickly this year is flying by????  I can't believe this Friday marks the end of the first nine weeks.  Be sure to watch your child's HOT binder next week for his/her report card.  Also, please note that 2nd grade will be performing a musical at the PTA meeting on Monday, November 7th.  More information will be coming regarding the time and any additional details.  Please keep watching our blog.  I will be using it to post photos of exciting events, activities, and lessons in our classroom this year!  It's a great way to feel like you are a part of all the action!
